The Ballenberg Olympic “athletes” take part in one or several traditional sport activities. There is a choice if stone-throwing (3.5 kg and 6 kg), crossbow-shooting, “platzgen” (throwing at a target), hammering nails or alpine horn blowing. On request, a list of results will be drawn up and prizes organised. Several groups can participate at the same time. Time required depends on the number of activities and participants. Minimum rate for small groups on request.

Price per person: first activity CHF 16, for every further activity an additional CHF 5.

Admission and guided tour are extra.

Our craftsmen look after and instruct the visitors who can choose from the following activities: baking bread, “Aroma” workshop, wood-carving, mixing herbs and felt work. The size of the group varies between 10 and 25 people, depending on the chosen craft. We recommend combining handcrafts with a guided tour through Ballenberg. Time required per activity: about 1– 2 hours.

Of course we also accept Euros at the day’s current rate.

The Open-Air Museum closes every day at 5.00 p.m. However we are happy to make an exception for groups. We can cater exclusively for you and your guests with a programme in our grounds and with specialities from our kitchen and wine-cellar.
